Public Meeting to Discuss Proposition 1 Grant Proposal Solicitation to be Held in Sacramento

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) will conduct a public meeting in Sacramento on Thursday, April 7 to present and seek public input and comments on the draft proposal solicitation for its Proposition 1 Restoration Grant Programs.

The public meeting will be held Thursday, April 7, 2016, from 10 a.m. to noon in the Natural Resources Building Auditorium, 1416 Ninth St., Sacramento (95814). Interested parties may also participate via phone or computer using AT&T Connect (instructions below).

The Fiscal Year 2016-17 Draft Proposal Solicitation Notice is available on CDFW’s website, at

The purpose of the meeting is to inform the public of the priorities and requirements for the Watershed Restoration Grant Program and Delta Water Quality and Ecosystem Restoration Grant Program. CDFW will then gather public input and comments that will help finalize the solicitation.

CDFW’s Proposition 1 Restoration Grant Programs were established to support the Water Quality, Supply, and Infrastructure Improvement Act of 2014 (Proposition 1), passed by voters in November 2014. The Act provides funding to meet three broad objectives of the California Water Action Plan: more reliable water supplies; the restoration of important species and habitat; and the creation of a more resilient, sustainably managed water resources system that can better withstand inevitable and unforeseen pressures in the coming decades.
