First Round of Input Completed; Second Round Ready for Review
The Department of Fish and Game (DFG) has released the second round of proposed modifications for its Shared Habitat Alliance for Recreational Enhancement (SHARE) program. The proposed modifications clarify the landowner enrollment process, the public application and permit issuance process as well as the general operating conditions for the SHARE program.
The first draft of the proposed changes was open to public feedback in November 2011. All comments received were considered and the second round of proposed changes are now available at: www.dfg.ca.gov/wildlife/hunting/share.
The public may submit comments until 5 p.m. on April 20, 2012. Comments can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org or mailed or hand-delivered to:

The SHARE program is a voluntary incentive arrangement in which landowners receive liability protection and may receive compensation for providing public access to or through their land for recreational use and enjoyment of wildlife. SHARE is dedicated to creating good relationships between recreational users and landowners, while providing additional hunting, fishing and other recreational access on private land in California today and for future generations.
All questions about the SHARE program and the proposed regulations should be directed to Victoria Barr, Environmental Scientist, at (916) 445-4034 or email@example.com.
