DFG Opens Public Comment Period for Voluntary Local Program in Alameda County

The Department of Fish and Game (DFG) has opened a 75-day public comment period for the Voluntary Local Program (VLP) in Alameda County.
The VLP framework is designed to encourage farmers and ranchers to voluntarily enhance, restore and maintain habitat for sensitive, threatened and endangered species.
The Alameda County Resource Conservation District (RCD) wrote the plan for the VLP and prepared the environmental analysis for the CEQA portion.

Written comments will be accepted until October 1, 2012.
